Description
The Display Husk is a humanoid construct that closely resembles a commercial store mannequin.
Its featureless face lacks a mouth, nose, ears, or distinguishable eyes. Instead, a faint violet glow emanates from where the eyes should be, while the same eerie light leaks from every major joint.
Although their bodies resemble plastic mannequins, they move with unnatural fluidity. Their arms are slightly elongated, ending in unnaturally long fingers tipped with razor-sharp claws capable of slicing through flesh with ease.
Display Husks are commonly encountered wearing ordinary civilian clothing taken from the stores they inhabit, making them nearly indistinguishable from ordinary mannequins at first glance.
Habitat
Display Husks have only been observed inside commercial buildings containing mannequins, including:
- Clothing stores
- Shopping malls
- Department stores
- Fashion outlets
No confirmed sightings have occurred outside these environments.
Behavior
Display Husks are ambush predators.
Unlike the Canis Draco, they rarely pursue prey over long distances.
Instead, they remain perfectly motionless among ordinary mannequins, waiting for victims to approach before attacking.
Groups coordinate silently and often attempt to surround prey before revealing themselves.
Once discovered, they display surprising speed despite their rigid appearance.
